LumHorizon LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates BibleLum at biblelum.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. By accessing or using BibleLum, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile picture obtained via Manus OAuth when you sign in.
  • Study content: reflections, notes, and journal entries you write within the app.
  • Support communications: messages you send to [email protected].

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, study progress (current day, streak, completed lessons), and timestamps.
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and local storage: session tokens and preference data (see Section 7).

1.3 Payment Information

We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. All payment data is processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We receive only a transaction confirmation and a customer identifier from Stripe (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the BibleLum service.
  • Personalize your study experience (track progress, streaks, and reflections).
  • Process payments and manage your membership status.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, service notices).
  • Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not use your study content (reflections, notes) to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We may also disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of LumHorizon LLC, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case the acquirer will be bound by this policy or provide equivalent protections).

4. Stripe Payment Processing

BibleLum uses Stripe, Inc. to process all payments. When you make a purchase, you are submitting your payment information directly to Stripe through a secure, PCI-DSS-compliant interface. LumHorizon LLC never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.

  • Stripe may collect and process your name, email, billing address, and payment card information.
  • Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • We receive a Stripe customer ID and transaction status to activate or manage your membership.
  • For subscription products, Stripe stores your payment method for recurring billing. You may update or remove your payment method at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years). Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the service.

8. Children's Privacy

BibleLum is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
